So far, Binti has helped approve more than 100,000 families to foster or adopt and now supports over 49% of the country’s child welfare system. Its product scope has broadened within child welfare to address the root causes of family separation and is also expanding into additional areas of social services.

Backed by investors such as Founders Fund, First Round Capital, and Kapor Capital, the company has around 90 team members and is growing rapidly. The workplace culture emphasizes inclusion, authenticity, and a team made up of mission-driven, high-empathy, high-performance, low-ego people. The organization has a large ambition: to help make government more effective at expanding opportunity for people everywhere.
Role Overview
Binti is hiring a Senior People Operations Coordinator to help create a welcoming, inclusive environment where employees can do their best work. In this position, you will keep the office running smoothly, lead a thoughtful onboarding experience for new hires, organize events that strengthen connection and belonging, and support a wide range of People Operations work as the company continues to scale. This role contributes directly to the organization’s mission by supporting key people processes with high quality and care.
The position reports to the Head of People & Places and requires being in the San Francisco office at least on Mondays and Thursdays, with additional on-site presence during busier periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the office in a way that supports an excellent employee experience, including overseeing lunch and snacks, keeping the space tidy and inviting during business hours, handling mail and deliveries, coordinating with the property manager and other vendors, and serving as a go-to contact for employee needs throughout the day.
- Own the onboarding experience from end to end by being the welcoming contact for new hires, managing onboarding schedules, handling related administrative tasks, and continuously improving the program over time.
- Plan and deliver inclusive events and activities such as in-office social gatherings, company offsites, and virtual team-building sessions that help people connect across the San Francisco office and satellite locations.
- Support core People Operations processes, including reviewing I-9 documentation, assisting with recruiting coordination, helping with offboarding, and managing benefits enrollment.
- Use AI tools where helpful to increase efficiency and expand your impact across people programs.
What You Bring
- At least 2 years of experience in People Operations, office administration, recruiting coordination, or a similar role involving the management of multiple processes and programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a habit of keeping stakeholders informed and following through on commitments.
- A detail-oriented approach and a natural ability to create organized processes that help build trust and improve the employee experience.
- An ownership mindset, including the ability to think ahead, identify needs, ask questions, and suggest improvements as the company evolves.
- A growth-oriented attitude and interest in learning, staying current with industry practices, and using AI to work more effectively.
- Enjoyment in connecting with people, understanding their needs, and fostering inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive compensation package that includes salary and equity.
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with 99% of premiums covered for employees and their dependents.
- Flexible vacation policy to support work-life balance.
- 13 paid holidays, including 11 federally observed holidays such as Juneteenth, plus Election Day and the day after Thanksgiving.
- 16 weeks of paid parental bonding leave for a newborn or newly placed infant.
- Separate sick and mental health leave, accruing up to 80 hours.
- Four-week sabbatical after 4 years of service.
- 401(k), commuter benefits, FSA, and DCFSA.
- $5,000 annual bonus for employees who volunteer as CASA (court-appointed special advocates).
- $2,500 annual learning and development reimbursement for trainings, conferences, speaker series, and lunch-and-learns.
- $300 reimbursement for initial office setup.
- $50 per month for effective work expenses such as internet, electricity, office setup, or meals and snacks with coworkers.
- Paid jury duty.
