Role Overview
Darktrace is hiring a polished and professional Senior Office Administrator to join its Facilities function in the busy Cambridge office. This is a front-of-house role suited to someone detail-focused, team-oriented, and confident as the first person visitors meet when arriving at the office. There is also an opportunity to develop toward an Office Manager position in the near future.
Key Duties
- Welcome visitors at reception and serve as the initial point of contact in a courteous, professional manner.
- Guide guests to the correct person, team, or office location.
- Handle incoming calls by answering, screening, and transferring them as needed.
- Keep the reception space organised, neat, and fully equipped with the required stationery and materials.
- Receive, organise, and distribute mail, parcels, and daily deliveries.
- Support office safety and access control by following security processes, monitoring the logbook, and issuing visitor passes.
- Manage front-office stock by ordering supplies and tracking inventory levels.
Working Hours
The daily schedule may be either 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with one hour allocated for lunch.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will be professional, approachable, and capable, with prior experience in reception or a front-of-house setting. Strong communication skills, a helpful attitude, and a genuine interest in providing excellent service are important for this role. Good organisation, a proactive mindset, resourcefulness when handling issues, and familiarity with office equipment such as scanners and printers are also needed.
Benefits
Employees receive 23 days of holiday plus all public holidays, increasing to 25 days after two years of service. Additional benefits include a day off for your birthday, private medical insurance for you, your cohabiting partner, and children, life cover equal to four times base salary, a salary sacrifice pension plan, enhanced family leave, a confidential Employee Assistance Program, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
