Job description
Overview
This role involves overseeing supply planning and inventory management for the Indian market along with managing third-party and loan license manufacturing operations. The Senior Manager will execute supply strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and enhance supply chain processes within the pharmaceutical and related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply plans ensuring optimal product availability throughout India.
- Convert demand forecasts into practical supply schedules balancing inventory levels and service standards.
- Continuously monitor inventory status and initiate actions to reduce stock-outs, surplus inventory, and product obsolescence.
- Lead monthly supply reviews contributing to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Manage supply planning with contract manufacturers and loan license manufacturers, monitoring production plan adherence, capacity use, and material readiness to guarantee timely delivery.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and counter supply risks and resolve issues impacting operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations with internal and external stakeholders based on key performance indicators.
- Work closely with demand planning, procurement, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, finance, and commercial teams to ensure supply chain synchronization.
- Communicate supply constraints and risks proactively and devise mitigation tactics.
- Support activities including product transfers, portfolio rationalization, and lifecycle management.
- Recognize supply chain vulnerabilities and spearhead proactive risk management measures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning procedures and spearhead digital supply chain transformation projects.
- Implement governance frameworks and promote planning best practices within the outsourcing network.
- Measure and report core supply chain indicators including service level/On Time In Full (OTIF), inventory days of supply, material availability, backorders, and inventory write-offs.
- Create dashboards and management reports to facilitate strategic business decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4-6 years of proven experience in Pharma, FMCG, Retail, or Consulting sectors with a focus on supply chain planning and digital transformation.
- Proficient in supply chain planning tools such as Kinaxis, O9, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, along with business intelligence software.
- Educational qualifications include a postgraduate degree in business management and a Bachelor of Technology in engineering.
