About the role

This position is for a Senior Manager of Recruiting who will own and scale the talent acquisition function. You will be responsible for the full recruiting strategy, leading a small recruiting team, and working closely with hiring managers across the company to help build strong teams. The role combines hands-on recruiting work with people leadership, so you will actively drive important searches while also coaching the team and improving hiring processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of 2 to 5 recruiters through coaching, feedback, and career growth guidance.
  • Set recruiting strategy for go-to-market, product, engineering, and G&A roles in close collaboration with department leaders.
  • Personally run full-cycle recruiting for senior and business-critical roles.
  • Partner with department heads to turn headcount needs into practical hiring plans and search pipelines.
  • Define recruiting KPIs such as time-to-fill, offer acceptance, and pipeline strength, then use those insights to improve results.
  • Create proactive sourcing approaches that reduce dependence on inbound applicants and broaden candidate pipelines.
  • Deliver a smooth, consistent, and engaging candidate experience from first contact through offer stage.
  • Oversee external recruiters and agencies when needed.
  • Help shape employer-brand efforts and represent the company culture clearly and authentically to candidates.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of end-to-end recruiting experience, including 2 or more years in a team lead or management role.
  • Background hiring across several functions at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven success filling technical and go-to-market roles in competitive hiring markets.
  • Strong comfort with data and recruiting metrics to guide decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge hiring managers constructively while preserving good working relationships.
  • A builder mindset with prior experience improving processes, creating programs, or scaling a recruiting function.
  • Willingness to stay hands-on and personally own searches when needed.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment, ideally Series B through D.
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking and offer strategy.
  • Experience implementing or improving an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby.

Success measures in the first 6 months

  • The recruiting team consistently meets target time-to-fill goals across open positions.
  • Hiring managers view recruiting as a strategic partner and trust the process.
  • There is strong visibility into pipeline health and expected hiring capacity.
  • At least one process or program improvement has been launched and is showing measurable impact.
  • The team feels supported, developed, and clear about performance expectations.

Additional information

The role is remote and based in the United States.

Compensation for this position depends on factors such as skill level, expected performance, and candidate location. The base salary range is 160,000 to 200,000 per year. For candidates hired in Canada, pay will be offered in Canadian dollars and may vary because of currency conversion. Base pay is only one part of the total rewards package, which also includes equity, health coverage, and other benefits.
