Role overview
The company is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer for its Creative Department in New York City. The role involves creating visual concepts for pitches, social content, advertisements, events, and promotional materials. The position reports to the Associate Creative Director and is best suited to someone who works well in a fast-moving, collaborative setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead visual direction for content across a range of client touchpoints, including live experiences, social platforms, and digital channels.
- Create presentation designs, illustrations, image edits, and composed visuals.
- Apply creative guidance accurately and with care.
- Work closely with teammates and contribute actively to shared projects and group efforts.
- Protect the original design quality and visual consistency while producing a large volume of assets.
- Handle several projects at once and deliver within deadlines.
- Own assigned work and carry tasks forward with minimal supervision.
- Guide junior designers and help support their growth.
- Keep up with social media trends, digital developments, and broader media changes.
- Review feedback constructively and explain design decisions with confidence when needed.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on a hybrid schedule, with three in-office days per week and working hours from 10 AM to 7 PM EST. The role calls for at least 3 years of graphic design experience in an agency environment, strong visual judgment, and the ability to balance messaging, color, imagery, and typography effectively. The candidate should also be comfortable using both pixel-based and vector-based design approaches, maintain a high level of accuracy, and stay organized while managing multiple priorities. Strong collaboration skills, independence, and openness to feedback are important, and experience with motion design is considered an advantage.
