Job description
Job Summary
UCC Holding is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help assess financial performance, track operating and project-related costs, inform investment choices, and deliver insights that support senior leadership in improving growth and efficiency. This position covers financial planning, advanced modelling, reporting, and collaboration with multiple business functions in a large operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and variance reviews.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models for budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation, and long-term planning.
- Review financial results for operations and projects, spotting patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle across departments and business units.
- Track CAPEX and OPEX performance and recommend ways to improve cost efficiency, profitability, and investment returns.
- Carry out profitability studies, scenario analysis, and investment performance assessments.
- Assist with strategic planning and key financial decision-making.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, project, and commercial teams on financial planning initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS, internal policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support financial audits by preparing the required records, analysis, and documentation.
- Develop presentations and clear financial summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline. A professional qualification such as CA or ACCA is mandatory, with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Additional qualifications such as CMA, CPA, or CFA will be considered an advantage. The role calls for 6 to 8 years of overall experience in financial analysis or similar finance roles, along with proven exposure to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial modelling. Prior experience in large-scale or multinational organizations is preferred.
Industry and Technical Knowledge
Strong familiarity with the energy, oil and gas, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is important. The role also requires understanding of project finance concepts, CAPEX/OPEX analysis, and operational cost structures, as well as working knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
Core Skills
The position requires advanced financial analysis and modelling capability, strong Excel expertise, experience with ERP platforms and reporting systems, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ability to turn complex financial information into practical business recommendations is essential.
