Job description
Role overview
This position supports the Republic of Singapore Navy’s training operations by managing outsourced training resources and coordinating the use of trainer systems, training aids, and training facilities within Maritime Training and Doctrine Command (MTDC). The role combines contract execution, resource allocation, utilisation tracking, and governance oversight to keep training activities running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Administer contracts related to outsourced training resources that enable day-to-day training operations.
- Oversee the availability, scheduling, and allocation of trainer systems, training aids, and training venues.
- Monitor and record utilisation information for major trainer systems and training facilities.
- Make sure payments are processed on time and that all outsourced training contracts meet governance requirements.
- Liaise with external training partners to secure the resources needed for RSN training.
- Develop, suggest, and assess initiatives that improve contract management and compliance practices.
Work challenges
- You will need to balance competing training needs across schoolhouses and operational units.
- Plans may need to change quickly to respond to last-minute operational constraints.
- You may need to mediate competing requests for limited shared training facilities while minimising disruption to ongoing courses.
Requirements
- A background in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain-related work.
- Experience handling contracts and supporting training resources will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail for tracking utilisation data and maintaining governance compliance.
- Ability to work on your own with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
