Job description
About the role
Coinhako is hiring a Senior Engineer to join its Payments & Wallet team, also called PAW. This team sits at the center of asset management, compliance, and on-chain services and integrations, including Superwallet. The role focuses on building and supporting the systems that keep payment and wallet operations fast, dependable, and secure.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and support backend services that can scale reliably.
- Create high-traffic APIs for both internal frontends and external traders.
- Own the long-term quality of the codebase and help shape architecture decisions for production systems.
- Work on custody solutions for digital assets while maintaining strong security and compliance standards for cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital records.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to stronger engineering practices, better tooling, and smoother development processes.
What the team is looking for
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with solid experience building distributed systems at scale. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, aligning solutions with teammates, and taking initiative without needing close supervision. The role also calls for familiarity with cryptography, blockchain security concepts, and the compliance and regulatory environment around cryptocurrency.
