About the Company
Kendra Scott is a fashion-and-lifestyle brand built around bold ideas, colorful self-expression, and thoughtful design. Rooted in family, fashion, and philanthropy, the company sees employees and customers as central to its success and believes giving back is a true measure of achievement. The brand combines fashion and innovation from its two modern facilities in Austin, Texas, and extends that mindset into its expanding retail presence nationwide.
Role Overview
This leadership role sits within the marketing organization and is focused on elevating the brand’s public-facing digital presence. The Senior Director of Social Media and Influencer Marketing will shape strategy, lead execution, and guide campaigns that build excitement, strengthen engagement, increase awareness, and contribute to revenue growth. The position calls for close collaboration across departments to build a unified social strategy that supports business goals, highlights major promotions and product launches, and reinforces the brand’s aesthetic and messaging. The role also partners closely with the VP of Brand Marketing to support clear communication and company-wide awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Social strategy
- Guide the ongoing development of the company’s social media approach across established and emerging platforms, keeping it aligned with marketing priorities and broader business goals.
- Create and apply performance-led strategies to grow audiences, improve engagement, strengthen brand perception, and expand awareness across all social channels.
- Continuously spot and promote new ideas, formats, and platform opportunities to keep the brand’s social presence fresh and competitive.
- Work closely with teams across marketing, creative, merchandising, retail, and ecommerce to ensure social plans are fully integrated into campaigns and product launches.
- Use strong social expertise to design attention-grabbing activations that support campaigns and launches.
- Oversee external agency partners handling social media, ensuring strong execution and ongoing refinement of the playbook and results.
Content leadership
- Partner with the creative team so social content reflects the brand’s visual style, voice, and story while remaining tailored to each platform.
- Help shape seasonal creative direction so social-first ideas are built into campaign concepts from the outset.
- Lead the seasonal social content calendar and ensure content is delivered on time and remains relevant.
Influencer, talent, and creator strategy
- Own the overall influencer marketing strategy and manage relationships with influencer agencies and individual creators.
- Set up a thorough review process for potential partners, identifying both established and rising talent that fits the brand and audience.
- Coordinate with the paid media team to align influencer and affiliate efforts with seasonal planning.
- Work directly with macro and micro influencers on paid initiatives to drive awareness, communicate launch and collaboration details, increase engagement, attract new followers, and improve brand perception.
- Give Tier 1 talent and brand collaborators clear messaging, visual direction, and content guidance so their output stays true to the brand voice.
Analytics and reporting
- Define, monitor, and report on KPIs across paid and organic social efforts, with insights broken out by platform and campaign.
- Turn performance data into practical recommendations and next steps that improve future campaigns and strategy.
- Use A/B testing, competitor analysis, and social listening to surface trends, understand consumer behavior and gaps, and support decision-making.
Team management
- Lead and develop the social media strategy manager, influencer marketing lead, and content creators.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years of experience in social media or a closely related role, preferably within fashion, retail, or ecommerce.
- Strong creative judgment paired with an analytical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to think strategically, work independently, and drive projects from planning through completion.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them effectively.
- Proven ability to grow communities and build audience engagement in social channels.
- Strong visual sense and writing/copy skills for close collaboration with creative partners.
- Existing relationships with platforms, agencies, influencers, designers, photographers, or similar partners are a plus.
- Comfort working with reporting and analytics tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines as plans shift.
- A practical, can-do mindset and willingness to contribute hands-on when needed.
- Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and collaboration skills.
- Team-oriented attitude and interest in continuous learning.
- Strong time management and project management capabilities.
- Alignment with the brand’s core values: family, fashion, and philanthropy.
