Senior Data Scientist, Computer Vision & AI

Role overview

GoTo Financial is looking for a senior data scientist with deep learning expertise to solve advanced problems across computer vision, voice, and text. In this role, you will develop and put into production AI models that support important business products, while also making sure the solutions are robust and scalable for real-world use.

You will have the chance to shape how AI is applied to financial products, work on technically demanding problems, and contribute to the growth of GoTo Financial’s AI capabilities.

What you will do

• Handle and learn from multiple data types, including images, video, audio, and text.
• Build, tune, train, and deploy deep learning models using GPU resources.
• Create unit tests and supporting documentation, then assess and benchmark model accuracy, quality, and overall performance.
• Work closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams to clarify needs and turn them into workable solutions.
• Take responsibility for the full delivery lifecycle, from framing the technical problem to launching the solution with engineers.
• Keep up with the latest progress in deep learning and AI.

What the role requires

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in deep learning, especially in computer vision, voice, and text processing.
• Strong ability in data preparation, model training, evaluation, and optimisation.
• Proven experience using deep learning to solve real business issues, with models that have been deployed and used in production.
• Working knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, along with Python, C++, and inference tools such as NCNN.
• Experience with cloud environments such as GCP or AWS; familiarity with Android or iOS is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills to understand business needs and explain analytical solutions clearly.
• Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.
