About the Role
This position sits within the Data Delivery team and bridges business needs with technical delivery. As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will help turn ideas into practical, data-led solutions that create real business value.
The role is suitable for someone with a Business Analyst background and strong exposure to data, or for a professional from data, business intelligence, or engineering who has been doing BA-style work such as stakeholder engagement, requirements clarification, solution shaping, and delivery support.
The focus of the role is on breaking down complex challenges into structured, understandable, and actionable data solutions.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Work hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Accountabilities
- Convert business needs into precise data requirements, including data flow diagrams, user stories, mappings, and business rules.
- Use SQL to examine, validate, and test data directly.
- Build source-to-target mappings and define transformation logic.
- Maintain and improve Confluence documentation and Jira backlogs to support delivery progress.
- Lead workshops and help stakeholders stay aligned.
- Spot risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts early in the process.
- Guide and support other members of the BA community.
