Job description
About Curology
Curology exists to make proven, personalized skincare easier to access. Founded by dermatologists, the company is built on the belief that everyone should be able to use skincare that truly delivers results. Its licensed dermatology providers have supported millions of patients across all 50 states.
The company blends medical expertise with customized prescription formulas and dermatologist-created skincare products to provide science-led solutions that meet people where they are. This role supports that mission by helping shape how the brand speaks to consumers.
Role purpose
The Senior Copywriter will define and evolve the voice of Curology’s brands, creating persuasive copy that is strategically aligned and designed to move people from awareness to purchase across every major channel. Reporting to the Senior Creative Director, this person will lead copy creation for Curology and Agency skincare brands, including packaging, digital ads, email and SMS, social content, and website copy.
Success in this position depends on turning marketing goals into clear, consumer-friendly messaging while preserving strong brand consistency. The role also plays a key trust-building function by working with medical and legal partners to make sure all content meets compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Create marketing copy for Curology and Agency skincare brands across packaging, PDPs, websites, paid media, organic social, email, and SMS.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across channels while continuing to refine and elevate it over time.
- Convert marketing priorities into messaging that is strategic, persuasive, and easy for consumers to understand.
- Use SEO fundamentals and channel-specific conventions to strengthen copy performance in digital environments.
- Review, edit, and proofread content carefully to ensure accuracy, clarity, correct formatting, and clean grammar.
- Work alongside designers and other creatives to build campaign concepts, big ideas, and aligned copy-visual systems for launches.
- Bring a thoughtful creative perspective to brainstorming, guided by category trends and consumer behavior.
- Develop insight-led copy that supports customers throughout the path from initial awareness to conversion.
- Use knowledge of skincare, beauty, and broader cultural trends to create messaging that feels relevant and authentic.
- Collaborate with Lifecycle, Paid Media, SEO, and AIO/GEO teams to align messaging across performance and owned channels.
- Partner with Medical and Legal teams to review, revise, and clear copy while staying effective and compliant.
- Engage confidently with Commercial leadership and contribute a clear point of view in cross-functional discussions.
- Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote setting, especially when priorities shift or blockers appear.
- Balance several projects at once with minimal oversight and consistently meet deadlines.
- Stay productive in ambiguous, fast-moving conditions and adapt quickly without losing quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of copywriting experience in skincare, beauty, or a related consumer health or wellness category.
- Proven success writing across multiple channels such as email, social, digital advertising, and websites.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong headlines, polished long-form and short-form writing, and flexibility across formats.
- Ability to turn technical or clinical skincare information into simple, consumer-friendly language that fits the brand.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices as they apply to web and product copy.
- Experience collaborating with medical, legal, or compliance reviewers in regulated or sensitive categories.
- Ability to independently manage a heavy workload in a remote-first environment and take initiative without needing constant direction.
- Comfort with uncertainty and changing priorities, with sound judgment even when direction is incomplete.
- Interest in AI tools and willingness to learn how they can improve copy workflows as the toolset changes.
