About the Role

This position is part of Chanel’s Global Communications function, a cross-disciplinary team covering social media, integrated media, sustainability, corporate communications, and internal communications. The group works together to safeguard and enhance the brand’s reputation around the world.

From London, you will support Chanel’s corporate storytelling, executive profile building, and external positioning on key company topics. A major part of the role involves overseeing communications around the annual financial results, related financial announcements, and the annual report process. You will also collaborate with global colleagues in London and Paris to shape communication plans for important cross-functional themes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide senior leaders on reputation-focused and strategic communication matters.
  • Develop core messages, storylines, and leadership communication materials.
  • Lead the annual financial results communications process and oversee annual report management.
  • Prepare communication assets and toolkits for global and regional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external agencies and ensure campaigns are delivered effectively.
  • Coach spokespersons and support executive-level messaging.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with influential international journalists and media outlets.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, partnerships, and strategic projects.
  • Identify and drive reputation-building opportunities through events and external forums.
  • Align input and priorities across a complex, matrixed global organisation.
  • Assist with crisis response and issue management in close coordination with the Paris team.

What You Bring

  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, either in-house or within an agency.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reputation strategy within complex organisations that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid experience in financial services communications, including reporting, investments, acquisitions, and divestments.
  • Strong writing ability across media materials, reports, messaging, and social content.
  • Proven talent for turning complicated subjects into clear, compelling narratives.
  • A well-established network with international business media such as the FT, Reuters, and Bloomberg.
  • Background in executive communications and managing LinkedIn presence for leaders.
  • Excellent presentation, research, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Comfort working across teams and markets with flexibility and speed.
  • Creative thinking, with curiosity around AI-supported communications.
  • French language fluency is considered an advantage.

Working Style

  • You are energised by collaborative, fast-moving environments.
  • You perform well in global, multicultural settings.
  • You enjoy balancing hands-on delivery with strategic influence.
  • You like bringing fresh and high-standard communication ideas.
  • You take ownership and are driven by strong outcomes.
