Job description
Role overview
Enable Networks is expanding its fibre footprint across New Zealand, and this role focuses on driving developer-led growth for Horizontal Works in the North Island, with Auckland as the preferred base. The position is centred on finding and converting new residential development opportunities, building strong market relationships, and helping position Enable as the go-to fibre provider for upcoming projects.
What the role involves
This is a strategic business development position rather than a standard account management role. You will proactively identify development activity across the North Island, engage with residential developers, councils, planners, and civil contractors, and shape opportunities from the earliest planning stages through to successful delivery. You will work independently to build a pipeline, influence decision-makers, and contribute to regional growth strategy while being supported by an experienced national team and established processes.
About Enable
Enable is a major fibre network provider in New Zealand, delivering digital infrastructure that supports communities and growth. As the business continues to strengthen its presence in the North Island, this role plays an important part in expanding its reach and securing future development work.
Key focus areas
- Build and maintain relationships with residential developers and relevant industry stakeholders.
- Identify new development opportunities and convert them into commercial wins.
- Influence major projects from planning through to completion.
- Manage a strategic pipeline and keep opportunities moving through a long sales cycle.
- Represent Enable in the market and provide insights that inform regional growth planning.
What you should bring
The ideal background may come from property development, infrastructure, civil construction, utilities, telecommunications, or another complex B2B environment where stakeholder management and extended sales cycles are part of the job. Success in this role will depend on your ability to generate new business, earn trust with senior decision-makers, think commercially, and work with confidence across multiple moving parts.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive base salary.
- Performance-based incentives tied to development wins and housing lot volumes secured.
- Vehicle allowance.
- Travel support.
- KiwiSaver contributions.
- Wellness incentives.
- Health insurance.
- Additional employee benefits.
Employment details
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, although other employment arrangements may be considered. The role is full-time and based onsite in the Auckland Metropolitan Area.
Eligibility
Only candidates with the legal right to work in New Zealand can be considered for this position.
Additional information
This opportunity suits someone who is motivated by creating growth, influencing major development decisions, and helping build a market presence from the ground up. It is designed for a self-directed professional who can operate with autonomy while contributing to a broader team effort.
