We are seeking a seasoned and target-oriented Senior Business Development Executive to drive growth for IT services, resource augmentation, and project-based business opportunities. The role suits someone who can own the full sales cycle and consistently turn prospects into revenue.

What the Role Involves

This position is built for a professional with hands-on experience across business development activities such as identifying prospects, reaching out to leads, understanding client requirements, coordinating proposals, negotiating terms, and closing deals. The selected candidate should be able to work independently and take complete ownership of business generation.

Primary Business Focus

The main emphasis of this role is on resource augmentation and IT staffing. This includes generating opportunities for dedicated developers, contract technical talent, monthly or hourly billing resources, offshore teams, and remote technical staffing.

A secondary focus will be project-based business development, covering opportunities such as e-commerce platforms, marketplace solutions, WordPress websites, static and dynamic websites, and small to mid-sized digital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full business development process from lead generation through deal closure.
  • Identify, evaluate, and convert new business opportunities into active clients.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and recurring accounts.
  • Develop long-term client relationships to support repeat business.
  • Drive staffing-related opportunities for developers and technical resources across different billing models.
  • Target IT companies, software agencies, startups, overseas businesses, and organizations with urgent hiring needs.
  • Source leads using LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Apollo, Lusha, cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Research target accounts and decision-makers, and create structured outreach campaigns.
  • Arrange business meetings and conduct discovery conversations with prospects.
  • Understand client pain points and business requirements in detail.
  • Work with internal teams to coordinate proposals, pricing, and commercials.
  • Follow up with prospects, handle negotiations, and move opportunities toward closure.
  • Maintain CRM records, update lead progress, and track meeting notes and pipeline stages.
  • Share periodic sales updates and performance reports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT business development.
  • Proven track record in IT staffing, resource augmentation, or software services sales.
  • Strong background in B2B sales from lead generation to final closure.
  • Experience acquiring clients and generating revenue.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Good understanding of outbound sales and prospecting methods.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Exposure to cold emailing and lead-generation platforms is preferred.

This position is not restricted to lead generation or appointment setting. The hired professional will be responsible for the complete business development journey, including lead generation, prospecting, outreach, client meetings, requirement understanding, follow-ups, proposal coordination, negotiation, and deal closure. The role is performance-driven and offers strong growth potential.
