About the role
Kainos is seeking an experienced Account Executive to help grow its Workday business in Australia. This role focuses on winning new enterprise accounts, building a healthy pipeline, and developing long-term customer and partner relationships. You will work closely with teams across sales, delivery, legal, marketing, operations, and business development to close complex deals and support business growth.
What you will do
- Drive new business growth by targeting fresh accounts and, where relevant, expanding existing ones.
- Build, manage, and continuously strengthen a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Prepare reliable forecasts for upcoming quarters and help deliver agreed sales targets.
- Structure commercial deals that align with revenue, profitability, and strategic objectives.
- Act as a consultative advisor by understanding customer needs, challenges, and goals.
- Guide prospects across the full customer journey and align solutions to their maturity and priorities.
- Handle core sales activities such as pitching, scoping, high-level demonstrations, commercial negotiations, and legal coordination.
- Develop strategic partnerships and position Kainos as a trusted partner that adds ongoing value.
- Manage senior stakeholders effectively and present persuasive proposals in competitive situations.
- Represent Kainos externally and support cross-selling through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and industry partners.
- Proactively research target organizations, run outreach efforts, and create qualified opportunities for net new revenue.
What we are looking for
- Strong knowledge of Workday or broader ERP environments.
- Proven history of delivering against quarterly and annual targets.
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels, including executive and C-suite audiences.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, especially in value-led proposals.
- Confidence in networking and building productive relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Broad understanding of technology trends and digital services.
- Ability to work in a competitive, high-pressure environment while making sound decisions.
- Strong planning skills and the discipline to meet deadlines.
- Solid commercial and contract negotiation ability.
- Willingness to learn technical elements of the services sales cycle, including deployment and integration workshops.
Nice to have
- Experience in IT business development and winning contracts.
- Knowledge of technology delivery, agile approaches, and related practices.
Culture and inclusion
Kainos highlights a people-first environment where ideas are valued, growth is supported, and collaboration matters. The company also emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and aims to provide candidates with a fair recruitment experience. If adjustments or accommodations are needed during hiring, the team encourages applicants to share that so the process can be tailored appropriately.
