Role Overview

AdLiven is hiring a Senior 2D Motion Graphic Designer to join its fast-moving creative team in Senior, South Australia, Australia. This role covers the full video production workflow and spans motion design, editing, sound design, and static mockup creation. You’ll support a wide range of gaming clients, including indie studios and major industry names, with creative tailored for user acquisition campaigns.

The position suits someone with a solid gaming background, ideally mobile gaming, and a deep understanding of game visuals, player appeal, and performance-focused creative. The team is looking for a curious, resilient problem solver who can turn ideas into polished, high-performing content even when a challenge seems technically difficult.

Responsibilities

  • Develop refined 2D motion graphics for video advertisements, game trailers, and user acquisition campaigns.
  • Handle the complete production pipeline, including motion, editing, and sound work.
  • Create static concepts and mockups to support ideation, pitch materials, and production.
  • Use storytelling, animation fundamentals, and design judgment to improve viewer engagement and creative impact.
  • Turn briefs into compelling visuals that align with brand identity, product objectives, and performance marketing needs.
  • Maintain high standards of quality from the earliest concept stage through final delivery.
  • Collaborate with the internal creative production team to ensure consistency and output quality.
  • Keep current with motion design developments, especially in mobile gaming and digital advertising.
  • Manage several projects at once while meeting deadlines and maintaining careful attention to detail.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in 2D motion design, with gaming experience strongly preferred.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality motion graphics for games or interactive content.
  • Ability to produce static mockups for creative development and production use.
  • Strong command of character animation, typography, sound design, and storytelling through motion.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Excellent understanding of timing, composition, visual rhythm, and motion-led storytelling.
  • Comfort with fast-paced, iterative, and highly collaborative work environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and self-management skills.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Preference for candidates with mobile gaming experience and familiarity with performance creative workflows.
  • Additional advantages include illustration skills, experience with Spline or similar tools, exposure to AI video tools, basic knowledge of 3D software such as Blender or Cinema 4D, and experience working with freelancers, agencies, or UGC creators.
