Job summary

In this full-time Security Officer Patrol role in Athens, Georgia, you will protect and monitor a healthcare setting and other possible client environments. The position is for an unarmed patrol officer who stays visible, conducts scheduled and unscheduled rounds, and helps discourage security incidents. Strong communication and a service-oriented approach are important because the role supports staff, patients, and visitors in a caring setting.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with overnight shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM.

Compensation

The pay rate is $21.45 per hour.

Key duties

• Deliver courteous customer service to patients, staff, and visitors while following site security procedures, local policies, and emergency response steps.
• Handle incidents, disruptions, and urgent situations calmly and with a solution-focused mindset, then relay important information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Perform routine and random patrols across buildings, hallways, entrances, parking areas, and boundary zones to help prevent unauthorized behavior and suspicious conditions.
• Oversee access points, confirm visitor, vendor, and employee entry according to site rules, and keep records of incidents, observations, and policy concerns.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in security-related work.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Applicant must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience with alarm panels is an added advantage.
• For unarmed positions, applicants must be at least 18; armed positions require 21 or older.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background screening will be completed in line with federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be reviewed in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screening will be required where allowed by law.
• Licensing rules may apply before hire depending on state or local requirements.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary only for positions that involve driving.
