Security Officer - 4 on 4 off DS/CCTV Required

Role Overview

Vigilant Security is looking to hire several experienced Security Officers for The Avenue Shopping Centre in Glasgow. The position combines front-of-house service with a strong but discreet security presence, with a focus on making every visitor’s first impression a positive one.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver a consistently high-end guest and visitor experience.
• Represent the site in a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented way.
• Welcome clients and visitors proactively wherever possible.
• Complete routine patrols when needed.
• Respond to client needs and requests in a calm, professional manner.
• Maintain a polished and reliable service at all times.
• Manage visitor passes in line with sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Keep fire exits unobstructed and report any health and safety concerns.
• Help maintain a safe environment for all guests, visitors, and staff.
• Stay alert to security risks at all times.
• Use CCTV systems when required.
• Prepare and pass on a thorough shift handover at the end of each duty period.

• A strong respect for confidentiality.
• Excellent security awareness.
• A valid SIA licence.
• Five years of verifiable work history.
• First Aid training is an advantage.
