Role Purpose

The Security Automation Officer will oversee the rollout, monitoring, and upkeep of security automation systems across multiple sites. The position is responsible for coordinating vendors, supporting troubleshooting, and helping ensure that automated security tools operate reliably, remain compliant, and strengthen overall security operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of security automation systems at assigned sites according to project timelines and plans.
  • Work with the Lead - Security Automation to perform regular system inspections and confirm that automation tools are working as expected.
  • Liaise with vendors for installation, testing, and commissioning of solutions such as CCTV, biometric access control, and other digital surveillance systems.
  • Track automated security platforms for faults, review alerts, and prepare live reports for the Lead - Security Automation - Security.
  • Handle data generated by automated systems while ensuring secure storage and adherence to data privacy policies.
  • Escalate unusual events, suspicious behavior, and system issues to the Lead - Security Automation and recommend immediate corrective steps.
  • Conduct planned maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve day-to-day system reliability.
  • Help identify opportunities to enhance performance through upgrades and technical adjustments.
  • Ensure all automation activities align with legal requirements, internal security rules, and safety standards.
  • Take part in internal and external audits connected to security automation across sites.
  • Support vendor and contractor management, including SLA compliance and the timely processing and payment of invoices.
  • Assist the Lead - Security Automation with budget tracking and cost-conscious execution of automation initiatives.
  • Help train on-site security and operations staff on using and troubleshooting automation systems, in coordination with Group Security Automation.
  • Maintain records of training initiatives and ensure newly deployed personnel are updated on current automation processes.

Stakeholders

Internal: Lead - Security Automation, Cluster Security Head, Regional Security Head, Vertical Security Head, IT and Digital Teams, Site Operations Teams, Maintenance and Engineering Teams.

External: Security Automation Vendors, Technology Solution Providers, Consultants and System Integrators, Government and Regulatory Bodies, External Auditors and Inspectors.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Security Management, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications in security systems, automation technologies, or cybersecurity, such as CPP or CISSP, will be considered an advantage. The role calls for a strong technical base in automation, digital security infrastructure, and IoT-enabled security solutions.

The ideal candidate should bring 7 to 8 years of experience in security systems management and automation projects, with hands-on exposure to CCTV, access control, perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS), and other integrated security platforms.

This role is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and is structured as a full-time, onsite position.
