Role Overview
Aggreko is seeking a Sector Sales Specialist - Oil & Gas for its Doha location. In this position, you will manage an assigned sales portfolio, grow revenue from current customers, reactivate dormant accounts, and pursue new prospects with a strong focus on profitable growth. The job requires strong interpersonal ability, persistence, and a highly professional approach.
The role is split 40% toward new-business prospecting and 60% toward expanding existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, target, and win customers within the assigned sales plan.
- Stay motivated to achieve and surpass revenue and sales KPI goals.
- Make sure third-party costs such as fuel, freight, and rehire are priced correctly.
- Operate as a commercially minded technical sales professional with substantial experience.
- Consistently deliver strong outcomes and outperform activity and sales targets.
- Hold a valid Qatar driving licence.
- Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Follow Aggreko’s sales methodology, including sector sales excellence, CRM, and CPQ procedures in Salesforce.
- Meet minimum sales activity expectations and remain compliant with CRM and CPQ requirements.
- Create and carry out a sales and marketing plan to develop business and achieve sector/product revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the key account base.
- Maintain and grow the customer network through weekly in-person and telephone sales calls.
- Prepare proposals with technical and commercial information aligned to customer needs and Aggreko’s terms and conditions.
- Gain a strong understanding of internal administrative processes, hire procedures, quick track system, product knowledge, and depot operations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, target-driven, and results-focused, with a proven ability to deliver against ambitious goals.
Experience and Background
- Experience in temporary power and HVAC, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- A degree in sales or a technical discipline, or at least 5 years of successful senior-level sales experience in the industrial services sector.
- Background in selling or renting capital equipment, or in technical/engineering solutions and services.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding assigned targets.
