Secondary English Teacher

Role Overview

Teach East is looking for an energetic and committed Secondary English Teacher for a British curriculum international school in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves delivering stimulating English lessons, encouraging student progress, and working closely with a collaborative teaching team.

What You Will Do

You will plan and teach high-quality English classes for secondary students, manage the classroom effectively, and tailor lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities. You will also support overall student development and contribute positively to the school’s teaching culture.

Candidate Profile

This position is suited to UK-qualified teachers who have strong classroom management skills, a genuine interest in language teaching, and the flexibility to adapt lessons for a diverse student group.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, BEd, or QTS, and/or a BA in English.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally in secondary education or within an international curriculum.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain discipline and lead a classroom confidently.
• Comfort working in a team and in a multicultural environment while maintaining professional standards.
• Willingness to complete any required background screening and submit the documents needed for UAE employment.

Salary

AED 12,000 to AED 15,000 per month.
