Role Overview
This is a fully remote W2 opportunity in the United States for a Scrum Master supporting Agile software delivery on a Federal Government program. The position is intended for candidates with a low-rate expectation and requires U.S. citizenship. The role focuses on enabling smooth Agile execution, guiding SAFe-based delivery, and keeping project tracking and reporting organized through Jira.
What You'll Do
- Run core Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Coach teams on Scrum practices and SAFe methods so they can work more effectively.
- Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA staff, and leadership.
- Spot blockers and help remove obstacles that slow down delivery.
- Monitor sprint progress, velocity, burndown trends, and milestone completion.
- Make sure Agile routines and team standards are followed consistently.
- Keep Jira boards, dashboards, artifacts, and reporting current and accurate.
- Support Product Owners with prioritizing the backlog and improving user stories.
- Help coordinate release planning and collaboration across functions.
- Promote continuous improvement and strengthen Agile maturity across the team.
- Prepare and present status updates and Agile performance metrics.
Requirements
- Extensive Scrum Master experience, with the stated requirement being 3 to 5 years and not more than 5 years overall, while the posting also references 35 years in multiple places.
