Scrum Master - IT

Overview

FGF Brands is looking for a Scrum Master who can act as a guide, facilitator, and team enabler for technology groups that are still developing their Agile practice. The role is centered on building trust, encouraging clarity, and helping teams improve continuously so they can deliver strong results together.

This position is suited to someone who is comfortable coaching in a hands-on way, introducing practical Agile methods, and adjusting Scrum and Kanban practices to fit the team’s stage of maturity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Run core Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives, while keeping them productive and outcome-focused.
• Clear obstacles and anticipate risks so the team can keep moving without avoidable delays.
• Coach the team on Agile principles and collaborative ways of working, helping them strengthen self-organization and ongoing improvement.
• Promote Scrum values such as courage, openness, commitment, focus, and respect in day-to-day teamwork.
• Shield the team’s attention so they can concentrate on producing quality work with minimal distraction.
• Encourage experimentation, reflection, and steady incremental improvement.
• Work across business, technology, and operations to align priorities and support smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure clear direction, shared objectives, and agreement on outcomes.
• Report progress transparently and share performance insights, improvements, and learnings with stakeholders and leaders.
• Help expand Agile practices across FGF and support an environment where teams can perform at their best.
• Foster autonomy, accountability, and ownership within the team.
• Carry out other related duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product or software development setting.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong background in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supporting Agile teams, and driving process improvements.
• Practical experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms for backlog and sprint management.
• Ability to juggle multiple teams or complex initiatives while staying aligned with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated capability to coach and mentor teams that are new to Agile or Kanban.
• Experience working with cross-functional groups that include engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• Exposure to scaling approaches such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale is considered an advantage.
• Certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or an equivalent credential is required.
