About the Role
We are seeking a Scheduler - Planning & Project Control for Gulf Asia Contracting. This role is crucial for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient execution of construction and engineering projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed schedules, analyzing progress, identifying delays, and supporting project teams with schedule control and reporting. This position is key to coordinating project timelines, resource planning, and integrating schedules to meet project objectives within deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 software.
- Support project teams in creating comprehensive project schedules aligned with requirements and milestones.
- Prepare Level 3 Construction Schedules in accordance with project execution plans.
- Generate detailed Level 4 Construction Schedules for tracking project activities.
- Extract and analyze resource needs based on approved project schedules.
- Prepare and monitor 3-month lookahead schedules derived from Level 4 schedules.
- Conduct schedule updates and collaborate with project teams for accuracy.
- Analyze schedule updates to assess impacts on timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Present schedule progress reports and participate in stakeholder review meetings.
- Prepare and update resource-loaded schedules to aid planning and execution.
- Track changes, variations, and their schedule impacts.
- Produce required schedule narratives, reports, and documentation.
- Identify baseline schedule delays and report on affected activities.
- Communicate schedule risks and delays to stakeholders and management.
- Generate summary schedule reports, including Gantt charts, milestone reports, critical path analysis, and performance variance reports.
- Assist in integrating cost and schedule for enhanced performance monitoring.
- Actively participate in weekly schedule review and planning discussions.
- Ensure adherence to project planning procedures, company standards, and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Mechanical Engineering background with knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation works is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of combined field and scheduling experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing mega projects in construction, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling methodologies, and project control principles.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Doha, Qatar.
