This position reports to the Sales Manager.
Role Overview
In this position, you will own sales responsibility for motors or drives within a defined market or division, aligned to the division’s strategy. The role is focused on meeting both qualitative and quantitative sales goals that support sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to spot and develop new sales opportunities.
The role supports the Motion business for the IEC Low Voltage Division and is based in Visakhapatnam, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand customer relationships, convert opportunities into orders, and generate new leads. Share delivery timelines, payment details, and general commercial terms with customers in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
- Plan and execute effective marketing actions while clearly communicating the product or service value proposition to customers.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the assigned territory or segment.
- Handle sales-related administrative processes and provide support for cash collection and project management activities as required.
Role Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of experience in sales of motors or drives.
- Full-time engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- Willingness to travel domestically is required.
- Strong command of English and Hindi, with Telugu considered an added advantage.
- Must consistently uphold ABB’s values, ethics, integrity, and compliance standards.
