Job description
Role Overview
Haitian Group is looking for a Sales Executive to support its plastics and petrochemicals trading activity in Singapore. The role centers on supplier development, raw material sourcing, market analysis, and end-to-end coordination of trade transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain productive relationships with upstream suppliers such as petrochemical manufacturers and approved distributors.
- Identify and source plastic raw materials while managing day-to-day supplier communication.
- Handle commercial discussions, including pricing, payment terms, and supply conditions.
- Track market movements, regional demand-supply shifts, and relevant industry updates.
- Manage transactions through to completion, including order progress and delivery coordination.
- Carry out market research to inform trading decisions and uncover new business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to keep trading operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in plastics, petrochemicals, or trading.
- Experience on the supply side, preferably with petrochemical companies, distributors, or sourcing-led trading businesses.
- Working knowledge of major resin categories such as PE, PP, PVC, and ABS, including their common uses.
- Ability to read market signals and understand price fluctuations.
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers and negotiating commercial terms.
