Role overview
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and an important driver of the company’s sales pipeline. Your focus will be on finding relevant businesses, understanding their challenges related to climate and nature risk, and passing along qualified opportunities to the account executive team.
The company is a B2B SaaS business focused on nature and climate-risk analytics. It works with organizations to understand how climate change and biodiversity loss can affect business models, assets, and supply chains, and how these risks can be managed effectively. The team operates from Hamburg and also offers remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Research and qualify new leads from both inbound and outbound channels.
- Reach out to prospective companies through email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Assess customer needs and hand over well-qualified opportunities to account executives in a structured way.
- Maintain and improve pipeline data within the CRM.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and the founders.
- Contribute to building and refining sales processes and playbooks.
Requirements
- Some prior experience in B2B sales, business development, or a similar position; experience in SaaS is an advantage.
- Interest in structured sales work and complex B2B topics.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in direct customer conversations.
- Independent, dependable, and eager-to-learn working style.
- Native-level German and business-fluent English.
Nice to have
Exposure to or interest in sustainability, ESG, risk, compliance, or regulated markets would be a plus.
