Job description

About Sportradar

Sportradar is a global sports technology business operating at the crossroads of sport, media, and betting. Founded in 2001, it supports federations, media companies, betting operators, and consumer platforms across many countries with technology and expertise that help drive growth.

The company is now establishing its first global Sales Development team. This role offers the chance to help design the team’s processes, culture, and growth engine from the ground up rather than stepping into a pre-existing SDR function.

Role overview

As a Sales Development Representative focused on APAC, you will create strong first impressions with prospects and turn early interest into qualified sales opportunities. The role calls for creativity, commercial curiosity, and the ability to build pipeline through thoughtful outreach and meaningful conversations.

Key responsibilities

  • Reach out to decision-makers in sports, media, and betting using tailored messages, video, LinkedIn, and original research to make outreach feel personal and relevant.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and live gatherings to develop authentic relationships with market stakeholders.
  • Run outbound campaigns through several channels and handle inbound leads promptly and professionally.
  • Assess opportunities against the ideal customer profile and explore business objectives, challenges, and buying timelines in detail.
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition clearly, showing how data, technology, and sport combine to support fan engagement and commercial outcomes.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product to keep messaging aligned and improve go-to-market execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce and monitor what is driving performance.
  • Stay informed about the market, including new technologies, media models, and changes in the global sports ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a similar commercial role; experience in SaaS, technology, or media is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills are required; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Comfort working in uncertain situations and building your own approach.
  • Experience using CRM tools, especially Salesforce, and sales engagement platforms such as Outreach.
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and motivated to outperform targets.
  • Interest in sports, data, or media, ideally all three.

What you can expect

  • Opportunity to help establish a new sales development function within a well-known global sports technology company.
  • Chance to build outreach playbooks and influence how the business engages new clients across sports, media, and betting.
  • Exposure to the intersection of sport, technology, and innovation in a fast-moving commercial environment.
  • Competitive base pay, performance-linked commissions, and progression opportunities into Senior SDR, Account Executive, or other commercial positions.
  • A flexible, hybrid working rhythm that supports autonomy and accountability across time zones.
  • A high-performing, globally minded culture that values creativity, drive, authenticity, and measurable impact.

Recruitment process

  • Initial screening conversation with a Talent Acquisition Partner to discuss background and expectations.
  • Two interviews with the hiring team and hiring manager to review experience and team fit.
  • Final feedback and offer stage for successful candidates.

Additional information

The company is committed to equal opportunity and welcomes applications from qualified candidates regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement, as the company values learning and growth over perfect matches.

Why this role stands out

This is a chance to join a new team at a major global sports tech business and help shape how it scales. The position suits someone who wants more than a standard SDR role and is excited to influence strategy, process, and growth from day one.
