Role Overview
As a Sales Development Representative, you will drive early-stage pipeline growth for Harvey’s AI products across the EMEA region. Your focus will be on law firms, professional services organizations, and in-house legal teams, where you will identify business needs, start conversations, and introduce the platform in a way that is relevant to each prospect’s workflow.
The position combines tailored outbound prospecting with careful inbound qualification. Success in this role depends on clearly explaining Harvey’s value, showing curiosity about AI, and working with discipline and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue opportunities that match Harvey’s target customer profile using outbound tools and personalized outreach.
- Reach out to target accounts across EMEA through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other creative prospecting methods.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities from both outbound prospecting and inbound leads.
- Run discovery conversations that uncover customer workflows and help determine whether there is a strong sales opportunity.
- Act promptly on inbound interest and ensure follow-up and qualification happen quickly.
- Work closely with Account Executives to advance opportunities through the early stages of the sales process.
- Use data and insights to improve prospecting performance and shape sales strategy.
- Help refine Harvey’s sales playbook and capture learnings as the team expands globally.
- Consistently meet and exceed targets for qualified pipeline and activity.
Requirements
- At least 1–2+ years of experience in a fast-growing startup, ideally in sales development or project management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong executive presence and comfort when presenting to senior business buyers.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work with care and discipline.
- Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, and reporting tools.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Genuine interest in Harvey’s mission and a solid understanding of how AI can support knowledge work.
- Interest in the legal sector; prior legal-industry experience is helpful but not essential.
