Role Overview

The Sales Commissions Analyst will manage and support sales compensation operations in Xactly. The role involves maintaining accurate employee and compensation data, running commission calculations, handling reconciliations, preparing payout files, and supporting controls and compliance across the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and update the Xactly Incent environment, including participant details, reporting lines, territories, quotas, and compensation plan mappings.
  • Process data changes related to onboarding, promotions, transfers, reporting manager updates, and exits so compensation records remain correct.
  • Take part in the monthly commission calculation and payout cycle by checking data, investigating mismatches, handling adjustments, and helping ensure payments go out on time.
  • Build commission summaries, payroll inputs, and backup documents needed for compensation processing and month-end financial close.
  • Reconcile information across Xactly, Salesforce, payroll, and finance systems to improve accuracy and consistency of payments and records.
  • Support audit activities, internal controls, and documentation standards while following company policies and procedures.
  • Work with Sales Compensation, Finance, Payroll, HR, and Sales Operations on plan changes, annual rollovers, testing, and system improvements.
  • Help improve processes so the sales compensation function becomes more efficient, accurate, and scalable.

Candidate Profile

  • Background in sales commission administration or business analysis, ideally in a fast-growing SaaS company.
  • A degree in Finance or another business-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Understanding of variable incentive compensation structures and practices.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical ability with advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH, plus experience handling large datasets and creating reports.
  • Experience with Xactly SPM and Salesforce is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with Sales Operations and Order Management processes.
  • Ability to manage confidential compensation information carefully and discreetly.
  • Comfort working in a fast-changing environment and adjusting priorities as business needs shift.
  • Self-directed working style with the ability to contribute across multiple project roles.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Power BI knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
