About the role

Platypus Shoes, part of Accent Group, is seeking energetic retail team members for its Napier store in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Since 1998, the brand has focused on delivering the latest footwear from leading labels to customers, while encouraging a lifestyle built around individuality, confidence, and self-expression.

As a Sales Assistant, you will work closely with the store leadership team to support sales growth, maintain strong day-to-day operations, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

• Support the management team in reaching sales goals and keeping store operations running smoothly.
• Create a memorable shopping experience through outstanding customer service.
• Work as part of a lively, fast-moving retail team.
• Help maintain a high standard of presentation while working with premium products.
• Contribute to a positive store culture and assist in achieving overall business outcomes.

What we're looking for

• Interest in streetwear and sneaker culture.

• Motivation to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Open-minded approach and willingness to act on feedback.
• Availability across the week, including weekdays.
• Previous customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or supermarket settings.
