About CEL Critical Power
CEL Critical Power is an international provider of advanced power infrastructure for data centres and industrial environments. With more than 40 years of experience, the company designs modular power solutions such as Power Pods, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs and busway systems, all built to meet demanding global standards. From its lean manufacturing sites in the USA and Ireland, CEL works with customers from early concept discussions through to delivery, supporting scalable and tailored systems that help power the AI era and other critical applications.
Role overview
CEL Critical Power is looking for a proactive, organised, and detail-focused Sales Administrator to support a busy sales function. This role is centered on administration, CRM upkeep, order handling, reporting, and coordination with teams inside and outside the business. It is also important for keeping customer service standards high and ensuring day-to-day processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Keep CRM records accurate and current, including order dates, pipeline updates, and project details to strengthen reporting and sales visibility.
- Handle sales order processing and assist with SAP-related tasks, including project setup.
- Coordinate weekly sales reporting and SMT sales packs, making sure figures are correct, current, and delivered on time.
- Support the handover of projects from Sales to project teams, ensuring all required documents, approvals, and tracking items are complete.
- Act as a link between Sales, Finance, Operations, and external partners to resolve issues and keep workflows moving.
- Manage correspondence with customers and suppliers, respond to enquiries, support pre-qualification submissions, and maintain professional communication.
- Update compliance registers, pre-qualification files, and audit-ready documentation to meet client and regulatory needs.
- Build presentations, reports, and supporting materials for internal reviews, customer meetings, and senior leadership updates.
- Help organise events and logistics such as conferences and client meetings, including attendee tracking, communications, and follow-ups.
- Assist with analysis and reporting that support sales tracking and informed decision-making.
Requirements
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related subject.
- Previous experience in a sales support or administrative position.
- Background in a fast-moving environment, ideally within engineering or another high-growth business.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
- Strong analytical ability with the capacity to produce reports and support data-led decisions.
- Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Benefits and progression
CEL offers the chance to join a well-established business with 42 years of success in bespoke power distribution solutions. The role provides exposure to international projects and documentation standards, especially as the company expands its US manufacturing footprint and collaborates across North America. You will work with experienced engineers, project managers, document controllers, product managers, and global vendors, contributing to operational excellence across international teams. The position also offers competitive compensation, benefits, structured career development, professional training, and opportunities for leadership growth.
