Safety Officer

Role Overview

Green stone Landscaping is hiring a Safety Officer to help maintain a safe, compliant, and well-controlled site environment in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on protecting people, assets, and operations through strong health, safety, and security practices.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will oversee day-to-day safety practices on site, identify hazards, assess risks, and support the implementation of workplace controls. The role also includes carrying out incident investigations, documenting accidents and near misses, and helping teams follow proper security procedures such as access control and site protection.

Another important part of the job is delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for diverse site teams. The officer will also be expected to guide and influence personnel across levels, respond to emergencies when needed, and maintain accurate reports and records.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a solid understanding of health and safety principles, regulations, and site standards. Experience in occupational health, hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementing health controls is important.

The ideal candidate should also be able to investigate accidents, determine root causes, and prepare clear documentation for incidents and near misses. Experience in construction, landscaping, or a similar environment is preferred, especially in a safety or HSE role.

Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent qualification are strongly preferred. Good communication, coaching, and report-writing skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple priorities while working in changing weather conditions.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of UAE safety regulations and local authority requirements will be an advantage.
