About the Role
This position sits within the Food & Beverage team at a luxury hotel in Doha. The role is focused on handling in-room dining requests with warmth, accuracy, and a strong service mindset. You will be the first person guests speak to when placing room service orders, so every interaction needs to feel polished, attentive, and guest-centric.
About the Property
The hotel is part of a globally recognized luxury hospitality brand with a long-standing reputation for refined service. The property is set along Doha’s longest private beach, surrounded by landscaped gardens, and offers multiple restaurants, recreational amenities, a free-form swimming pool, and a spa. It is also located close to central Doha, government and corporate offices, the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, City Center Mall, and Doha Golf Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive room service calls quickly and maintain a courteous, professional manner throughout each interaction.
- Capture guest orders with accuracy and a solid understanding of the menu, including specials, ingredients, and potential allergens.
- Recommend suitable add-ons and suggestive items to improve the overall dining experience.
- Enter orders correctly into the POS platform and relay details clearly to the kitchen and service teams.
- Manage coordination of preparation and delivery so that service timing aligns with standards.
- Respond to guest questions, special instructions, and concerns with urgency and professionalism.
- Ensure billing entries and posting actions are completed accurately and on time.
- Keep communication flowing smoothly with kitchen, stewarding, and service colleagues to support efficient operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in Food & Beverage, room service, guest services, or a call center environment is preferred.
- Strong spoken communication skills and proper telephone etiquette.
- Excellent English communication; knowledge of additional languages is an added advantage.
- Comfort using computers and point-of-sale systems, preferably MICROS or similar platforms.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Capacity to stay composed and effective in a busy, high-pressure setting.
- A genuine commitment to delivering memorable guest service.
