About the Opportunity
A prominent financial institution in Qatar is looking for a seasoned Risk & Governance Specialist to help advance and mature its enterprise risk structure. In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to reinforce risk controls, improve governance routines, and support adherence to regulatory obligations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the rollout and ongoing use of enterprise and operational risk frameworks.
- Coordinate and support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
- Track operational risk incidents and keep risk logs up to date.
- Draft risk-related reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
- Support continuity planning and broader resilience efforts.
- Follow regulatory updates and suggest process or control enhancements where needed.
- Create, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and control records.
- Collaborate with different teams to identify operational exposures and reduce them.
- Help build and sustain a strong organisation-wide risk-aware culture.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in operational risk or enterprise risk roles.
- Hands-on exposure to governance, internal controls, and risk reporting.
- Working knowledge of RCSA approaches and practices.
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
