Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Retail Operations Executive who can support high standards across store operations, retail execution, logistics, and merchandising. You will work closely with store teams, the Retail Operations Manager, and other internal functions to improve consistency, strengthen the customer journey, and help the business meet its strategic objectives.

Retail Operations

  • Help create and update SOPs and operational guidelines.
  • Manage retail systems and supporting tools.
  • Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Carry out store and inventory checks, including audit activities.
  • Support the mystery shopping programme.

Store Expansion and Setup

  • Assist with equipment planning and purchasing.
  • Coordinate interior works and renovation activities.
  • Track milestones for new store launches.
  • Handle communication and coordination with landlords.
  • Support budgeting and cost control for store opening projects.

Inventory and Logistics

  • Coordinate logistics for retail and grooming inventory.
  • Support product purchasing and procurement activities.
  • Manage warehouse and logistics accountability in Singapore.
  • Coordinate sea freight and air freight movements.
  • Handle payments and contract-related administration.
  • Support Grab store operations.
  • Assist with events and other ad hoc operational tasks.

Merchandise Planning and Buying

  • Support merchandise planning and execution.
  • Monitor stock performance and availability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on product needs and follow-ups.
  • Maintain retail system records and updates.
  • Assist with new product launches and campaign rollouts.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support buying decisions.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive professional with a strong retail mindset, especially someone who enjoys spending time in stores, observing execution, and building strong relationships with frontline teams. The right person should be comfortable balancing multiple priorities while contributing to operational efficiency and sales support.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in retail operations, buying, merchandising, inventory management, or multi-store coordination.
  • Experience in luxury retail or pet retail will be considered an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of retail processes, store operations, merchandise planning, and customer service expectations.
  • Strong numerical ability and comfort working with sales and inventory data.
  • Confidence in vendor management and negotiation.
  • Ability to contribute to sales growth and operational improvement across stores.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify issues and support action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized, detail-focused, and able to manage several priorities at once.
  • Willingness to take a proactive, hands-on approach and spend time in stores.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with retail systems or POS platforms is a plus.
