About the Role

Zaxbys is looking for a General Manager to lead restaurant operations in Locust Grove, Georgia. This role is focused on building a strong team culture, keeping morale high, and making sure the restaurant consistently delivers a great guest experience. The manager will also support company objectives by turning goals into practical action plans and by overseeing the daily business performance of the location.

The position comes with a stated annual salary range of $65,000 to $70,000, plus the possibility of quarterly bonuses worth up to 24% of annual pay.

What You Will Do

  • Guide, coach, and lead the team to create a positive work environment and strong morale.
  • Help develop and carry out action plans aligned with company goals and business targets.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations with attention to staffing, training, sales, cost control, guest satisfaction, and brand standards.
  • Support hiring, interviewing, retention, and recognition efforts to maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Ensure team members receive training, ongoing coaching, mentoring, and accountability for performance.
  • Build schedules that support sales goals while keeping labor costs under control.
  • Assign shifts and responsibilities clearly, and adjust plans when needed.
  • Maintain high standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Drive profitability by increasing sales, controlling expenses, and strengthening operational execution.
  • Develop community relationships and deliver strong product and service experiences to help grow business.
  • Protect the business by controlling losses and following all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Complete crew performance reviews and assist with manager reviews.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records and use management tools effectively.
  • Review performance metrics each day and create improvement plans for systems, sales, profitability, and guest experience.
  • Address guest and team concerns, complaints, and injuries promptly and respectfully.
  • Promote a flexible, safety-first mindset and escalate issues when needed.
  • Handle additional duties required to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.

Training and Advancement

  • Complete all required training, including the General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone Class.
  • Obtain food safety certification and manager certification as required.
  • Finish any other training assigned by the company.

Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years old.
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation are required.
  • You need open availability and the ability to work at least 5 days and 48 hours per week.
  • You must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passing a background check and motor vehicle report is required.
  • You should bring strong leadership skills, organization, and the ability to work well with others.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and some college is preferred.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of management experience is required.
  • Restaurant management experience is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • You must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing, including ladder use, may be necessary.
  • You should be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • The job requires continuous hand and wrist use for grasping and fine motor tasks.
  • Strong speaking, reading, and writing skills are needed.
  • You must be able to notice and respond appropriately to visual and audio cues in the environment.
  • Work conditions may include hot and cold temperature changes and exposure to food allergens.
  • You will be expected to use restaurant equipment safely, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools.
