CORDE operates a major horizontal infrastructure business across the South Island, with a strong focus on maintenance, civil works, and water-related services. Its work supports local communities through long-term maintenance contracts throughout Canterbury and a range of civil projects across the South Island.
About the role
CORDE is seeking an operator and labourer to join the Resource Recovery Park team in Rolleston. This is a practical, varied position that combines plant operation with general labouring to keep the site running safely, efficiently, and in a clean and orderly condition.
The role involves operating fixed and mobile equipment such as loaders, hook trucks, and mobile shredders, along with hands-on support for the daily functioning of the facility.
What you will bring
The ideal person will be reliable, self-driven, and thorough, with a strong understanding of current health and safety expectations. Good communication and a hands-on work style are essential, along with the ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
Role requirements
- Essential: WTR endorsements
- Essential: Class 4 driver licence
- Essential: Experience operating loaders
- Desirable: Forklift endorsement and OSH ticket
- Desirable: Telehandler experience
- Availability for a rotating roster, including weekends
- Strong safety awareness and a positive attitude
- Ability to work with others and meet deadlines
