Job description
Role overview
MEDrecord is hiring a remote Scrum Master to guide and support its software development team. In this role, you will ensure Scrum is applied effectively so the team can deliver strong-quality outcomes. You will help manage schedules, address blockers, and coach team members on Agile practices to build teams that are self-managed, adaptable, and productive throughout each sprint.
What you will do
- Own the planning and timing of each project, keeping scope and deadlines on track.
- Organize sprint ceremonies such as retrospectives and daily stand-ups.
- Support the team in adopting Agile ways of working.
- Encourage clear communication and smooth collaboration across the team.
- Act as the main communication link for outside stakeholders, including customers when needed.
- Partner with product owners to manage backlogs and incoming requests.
- Handle conflicts and remove issues that slow the team down.
- Support the team through changes and help them adapt effectively.
- Check that sprint deliverables meet expected quality levels.
- Help development teams strengthen their Scrum practices over time.
- Create a positive environment where team members take ownership of the product and enjoy the work.
What we're looking for
You should bring prior experience as a Scrum Master along with a solid understanding of software development. Strong knowledge of Scrum concepts and tools is important, including definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement. Familiarity with other Agile approaches such as Crystal and XP is also valuable. The role calls for excellent communication, servant leadership, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and strong organizational ability. A degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar area is expected, and Scrum Master certification is considered an advantage.
