Overview
This is a fully remote contract role for a Regulatory Operations Manager supporting short-term rental regulatory product and workflow launches across jurisdictions worldwide. The assignment runs for 5.5 months and may be extended. The schedule is 40 hours per week during PST business hours.

You will join a cross-functional cities team that supports global business operations by coordinating internally and with guests, hosts, and local governments to deliver successful outcomes for the community.
Role Impact
In this position, you will help launch and manage regulatory products and workflows, support host retention, and handle ongoing questions from both internal and external stakeholders about regulations and related products. The role calls for someone who is highly effective, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and a strong communicator. You will act as a key voice for the host experience while aligning strategy and execution across multiple teams. A practical, polished, and fast-moving approach, combined with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle several priorities, will be important to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the launch of regulatory products and associated workflows, as well as retention and ongoing compliance work for jurisdictions around the world, partnering with Engineering, Data, Scaled Operations, and Customer Support.
- Act as a subject matter resource on regulatory products and workflows for internal partners such as Public Policy, Legal, and Geo teams.
- Own your assigned jurisdictions by establishing a steady operating cadence, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, keeping key workstreams moving, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Champion the host perspective throughout the full regulatory process.
- Handle internal and external questions and escalations related to short-term rental regulatory products.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in operations, product operations, program management, or project management within fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environments.
- Experience building alignment across cross-functional groups, including engineering, legal, policy, and business teams.
- Strong organizational ability with close attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Hands-on, action-oriented mindset with the ability to move quickly and adjust priorities as needed to meet goals.
- Comfort working in uncertain situations and taking initiative as a self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute.
- Alignment with the company’s values and high ethical standards.
Additional Details
Duration: 5.5 months with a possible extension.
