Job description
About the clinic
Gentle Procedures Dubai is the first international location of The Pollock Group, a Canadian healthcare organisation known for its precise, patient-centred approach to circumcision care. The clinic specialises in the Pollock Technique™ and is opening in Jumeirah as a new market entry with a founding team that will shape its future identity and standards.
Role overview
This position is for a Registered Nurse who can provide steady, reassuring care to newborns and their families during emotionally sensitive procedures. The role is centred on calm communication, close attention to detail, and the ability to help parents feel informed and supported from the first interaction through the procedure itself.
The clinic is hiring two nurses to join as its first clinical team. These roles are foundational, and the nurses hired will help establish the patient experience and the tone of care in the clinic.
What you will do
- Comfort and settle newborns so the procedure environment feels calmer for both baby and parents.
- Guide families through the process in clear, reassuring language, including English and Arabic when possible.
- Recognise subtle signs of anxiety or discomfort in parents and adjust your approach accordingly.
- Work in sync with the physician, anticipating clinical steps and supporting smooth procedure flow.
- Notice small details that improve family comfort and patient safety, and act on them proactively.
What the clinic is looking for
The ideal nurse has an active DHA Registered Nurse licence and current BLS certification. Additional credentials such as PALS and/or NRP are considered a strong advantage, especially for those with newborn or paediatric care experience.
Beyond qualifications, the clinic values genuine comfort working with infants, consistent composure under pressure, careful observation, excellent discretion, and confidence using EMR systems and other digital tools. Clear, kind communication in English is essential, and Arabic is highly valued.
What is offered
This is a founding clinical opportunity with above-market compensation, direct access to senior clinical and operational leadership, and the chance to help build a new clinic from the ground up. The role also includes medical insurance, annual leave, and other UAE-standard benefits, with additional support where appropriate.
Application details
Applicants should send their CV by email with the subject line Registered Nurse — Your Name. The expected start date is early September 2026. Candidates are asked to include their DHA licence status and current notice period in the email.
Instead of a cover letter, applicants should answer this question in under 300 words: during a procedure or examination, describe a moment when you noticed something small about the baby or parent that others had missed, what you did, and what happened next.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Candidates with their own UAE residence visa are preferred, although full employment visa sponsorship may be provided for the right candidate. The employer is an equal opportunity organisation.
Additional information
This role is not routine clinical support work; it is emotionally sensitive care where trust, calmness, and empathy matter as much as technical competence. The clinic is looking for team members who want to help build a new standard of experience in a specialist paediatric setting.
Terms and conditions
Expected start: early September 2026. Preferred status: candidates already holding a UAE residence visa. Visa sponsorship: available for the right candidate. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
