Role overview

We are hiring a Regional Journal Development Editor for a full-time, on-site role in Singapore. The position focuses on strengthening the journal’s presence in the local academic landscape and supporting long-term development through professional outreach and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Increase awareness of the company’s journals among local academics to improve visibility and scholarly influence.
  • Develop and sustain productive partnerships with universities, hospitals, research organisations, academic associations, and conference teams.
  • Act as the company’s representative at conferences, institutional visits, webinars, academic exchange programmes, and other regional networking forums.
  • Gather intelligence on the local market and keep track of emerging research directions in relevant subject areas.
  • Prepare routine progress updates covering academic contacts, possible collaboration leads, conference opportunities, market observations, and ideas for journal growth.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in molecular biology, biomedicine, life sciences, or another closely related discipline.
  • Good understanding of the local academic ecosystem, especially universities, hospitals, or research institutes.
  • Strong command of both English and Chinese, in written and spoken communication.
  • Ability to identify suitable academic contacts proactively and follow up in a professional, timely manner.
