Job description
Position Overview
The Regional Executive Vice President is a senior executive role accountable for a defined geographic region’s commercial direction, expansion, operations, and financial results. The position is responsible for translating the organization’s global objectives into region-specific execution and for strengthening long-term growth and competitive positioning across the region.
Strategic Planning
Develop medium- and long-range regional growth strategies along with annual operating plans. Set business development priorities for the region in line with enterprise-level strategy, while also evaluating market shifts, competitor activity, and customer expectations.
Revenue and Market Development
Own regional sales performance and revenue expansion. Lead initiatives to attract new customers, widen market reach, and deepen penetration in priority industries. Build and sustain productive relationships with major clients and strategic partners.
Operations and Performance Management
Direct the operating performance of all business units in the region. Design regional KPIs and performance review frameworks, then use them to improve efficiency, sharpen execution, and optimize the use of resources.
Leadership and Organizational Development
Guide the regional leadership team across sales, operations, marketing, and customer support functions. Shape an effective management structure, strengthen succession pipelines, and develop high-potential leaders for future growth.
Headquarters Coordination
Align regional initiatives with head office priorities and work closely with global functional teams on product, marketing, and operational programs. Deliver performance updates and strategic recommendations to headquarters on a regular basis.
Financial Oversight
Manage the region’s budget, revenue, margins, and cost discipline. Track financial outcomes closely, look for profitability improvements, and contribute to decisions involving major investments and expansion plans.
Compliance and Risk
Ensure all regional activities follow applicable local laws, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies. Identify and manage business, operational, and reputation-related risks, while maintaining a strong regional compliance framework.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required. An MBA or equivalent master’s qualification in management is preferred. Candidates should bring 18 or more years of experience in business or regional management, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles. Experience handling cross-regional or international markets is considered an advantage.
