Job description
Role overview
We are seeking a Regional Demand Planner for the GCC region to build reliable, consensus-based demand forecasts across GCC markets. This position works closely with Commercial leaders, distributors, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to create demand plans that are practical, aligned to the market, and ready to execute. The role also owns the demand planning component of the S&OP process and uses the company’s Pipeline Tool to manage planning activities.
Demand planning and forecasting
- Create rolling demand forecasts at SKU and market level across GCC countries.
- Manage demand planning activities in the Pipeline Tool with a focus on accuracy, discipline, and timely refreshes.
- Build the forecast using distributor inputs, promotions, seasonality, pricing changes, and product lifecycle updates.
Distributor collaboration and demand review
- Serve as the main contact point for distributors on demand planning matters.
- Run monthly demand review sessions with distributors to confirm assumptions, opportunities, and risks.
- Make sure distributor submissions follow commercial plans and governance requirements.
S&OP / IBP alignment
- Own the demand planning workstream within the monthly S&OP cycle for the GCC.
- Combine distributor and market inputs into one regional demand plan.
- Provide scenario-based analysis to help with supply feasibility, inventory decisions, and management actions.
Inventory and service level support
- Partner with supply planning and logistics teams to ensure demand plans reflect supply constraints.
- Identify and flag risks such as stockouts, overstocks, and obsolescence early.
- Help maintain service targets while keeping inventory investment efficient across the region.
Reporting and performance tracking
- Monitor and report key measures such as forecast accuracy, forecast bias, service levels, and inventory health.
- Prepare concise demand insights and recommendations for regional leadership reviews.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related discipline is required. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably in FMCG. Prior work with distributors and regional S&OP processes is important, and experience managing demand across multiple GCC markets will be an added advantage.
Skills and competencies
This role calls for hands-on experience with demand planning systems, preferably a Pipeline Tool, along with a strong understanding of S&OP and distributor-led business models. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential. You should also be comfortable influencing internal and external partners without direct reporting authority.
