Job description
Role Overview
The Regional Commercial Controller is responsible for monitoring and governing activities and financial transactions within the assigned region, ensuring they are accurate and aligned with company policies and applicable international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily operational tasks linked to the role to keep work progressing smoothly and without interruption.
- Support process enhancement initiatives by spotting opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen business practices, lower costs, and raise productivity, while considering global best practices.
- Prepare reports for the accounting and controlling function in a timely and precise manner so they meet internal department expectations, company rules, and required standards.
- Reconcile sales activity on a daily basis and ensure sales accounts are closed correctly each day.
- Oversee credit exposure and accounts receivable collection to remain compliant with the relevant policies.
- Apply financial controls across the region and identify areas where controls are weak, then take action to correct them.
- Review and analyze regional spending to ensure it stays within the approved budget.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, including 3 to 5 years in a similar role within the FMCG sector. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
