Job description
Role Overview
GETP Holding is looking for a seasoned Recruitment Officer to oversee the full hiring cycle for Oil & Gas projects as well as a range of other business functions. This position calls for hands-on experience in attracting, assessing, interviewing, and relocating candidates for technical, engineering, corporate, and support roles in Qatar. A solid grasp of the local talent market, recruitment channels, and visa and mobilization procedures is essential.
What You Will Do
- Run the recruitment process from workforce request through to employee onboarding.
- Find suitable candidates using job boards, social platforms, recruitment firms, professional networks, and internal candidate pools.
- Manage hiring needs for Oil & Gas roles across Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, HSE, Operations, and Project Support.
- Assist recruitment for multiple business areas including Trading, Contracting, Facilities Management, IT, Administration, Finance, and Sales.
- Carry out first-round screening, interviews, and candidate evaluations.
- Arrange interview schedules between hiring teams and shortlisted applicants.
- Check academic background, professional credentials, and previous work experience.
- Keep hiring logs, databases, and recruitment progress reports up to date.
- Coordinate mobilization, visa formalities, and joining arrangements.
- Follow Qatar labor legislation and internal recruitment procedures.
- Develop and nurture talent pools for current and future hiring needs.
- Handle compensation discussions and draft job offers.
- Maintain connections with agencies, universities, and professional networks.
- Take part in job fairs and hiring drives.
Required Background
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline, along with 3–5 years of recruitment experience in Qatar. Experience hiring for Oil & Gas roles is compulsory. Candidates should have managed large-scale and varied recruitment demands and be comfortable with technical and engineering job profiles. Strong knowledge of Qatar labor rules and hiring processes, along with excellent communication and people skills, is expected. Proficiency in MS Office and HR or recruitment systems is also needed. The position demands the ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight hiring timelines.
Preferred Profile
Applicants who can join immediately, already hold a valid Qatar ID with a transferable visa, and have an established network in the Oil & Gas and contracting sectors will be favored. Exposure to EPC, Maintenance, Shutdown, and Turnaround assignments is an advantage. Arabic language ability will be considered a plus.
