Role Overview
A mid-sized professional services organization in Midtown Manhattan is hiring a Recruiting/HR Specialist to support campus and lateral hiring, along with the early-stage onboarding experience for new employees. The role is based in New York City and requires being in the office at least three days per week. Compensation is listed at $95,000 to $115,000 annually, plus bonus.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as an initial contact for candidates and manage the hiring process end to end, including resume screening, first-round interviews, and coordination with candidates, recruiters, and partners.
- Partner with campus schools and universities on hiring activity such as career fairs, interview calendars, and small-group recruiting sessions.
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruiting agencies, including scheduling coordination and contract discussions.
- Draft, update, and manage job descriptions and post open roles.
- Work with executives across the firm to support recruiting needs and hiring priorities.
- Research and develop candidate pipeline lists for future hiring needs.
- Prepare offer letters, organize new-hire orientation sessions, and follow up with new employees during onboarding.
- Handle HR reporting and help coordinate employee engagement activities.
- Support additional projects as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or recruiting coordination.
- Background in consulting, finance, legal, or a similar environment is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office capability and comfort using technology, including AI tools and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform well in a fast-moving setting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Compensation
Base salary is stated at $95,000 to $115,000 per year, with bonus eligibility. This is a paid full-time role.
