About the Team

OpenAI’s mission is to build safe AGI that creates broad benefit for everyone. Supporting that mission requires people who are exceptional in their work and strongly aligned with the company’s values. The Recruiting team serves as the entry point for talent, connecting high-caliber candidates with work that has real impact. The team operates with a relationship-led approach and partners closely with groups across the company to identify, attract, and support the people shaping the future of AI.

The Go-to-Market organization is growing quickly as OpenAI expands its products and partnerships worldwide. Hiring for GTM centers on building strong teams across Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Technical Solutions.

About the Role

This position is for an experienced recruiter with a focus on Go-to-Market hiring. The role owns end-to-end recruitment, beginning with role intake and continuing through offer acceptance. The primary focus is on building teams across Technical Success, UserOps, Revenue Ops, and Sales. You will report to the GTM Recruiting Lead and work closely with hiring managers and recruiting partners across regions to keep the hiring process smooth and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run full-cycle hiring for GTM positions, including talent identification, process management, and offer negotiation.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand team goals and build forward-looking hiring plans that support broader company objectives.
  • Create a strong candidate experience while representing the company professionally and maintaining a consistent focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Work with HR, Legal, and Compensation teams to keep recruiting activities compliant and operationally sound.
  • Use advanced sourcing methods and recruiting tools to find and engage strong candidates, with an emphasis on expanding team diversity.
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing practices, candidate assessment, and employer branding.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, especially in in-house environments at fast-growing companies.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for GTM functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well across cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing environments while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and adapting recruiting processes for global hiring needs.
  • Working knowledge of ATS and sourcing tools such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and similar modern platforms.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role may be based in San Francisco or New York City, and remote candidates within the United States may also be considered. Remote employees should be prepared for occasional travel to headquarters when needed for the role.

Candidates should specify which location options work for them when applying.

For people who join onsite, relocation assistance is available. The in-office schedule follows a hybrid model with three days per week in the office and the option to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. Offices include features designed for both focus and collaboration, such as adjustable desks, phone booths, meeting rooms, stocked kitchens, and comfortable spaces to relax or connect with teammates.
