Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah for a Quality Control / Quality HSE Officer. The role focuses on ensuring that quality, health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently followed across fresh food handling, processing, storage, and distribution activities. The position supports compliance, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Duties

The officer will carry out inspections and audits, confirm adherence to internal policies and legal requirements, and record deviations together with corrective and preventive action plans. The role includes creating and updating quality and HSE procedures, supporting awareness and training initiatives for operational teams, and managing incident reporting, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations. Close coordination with operations, logistics, and management is required to improve quality outcomes, reduce safety exposure, and promote sustainable working practices aligned with company standards.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of quality management systems such as ISO standards, HACCP, and food safety rules, along with hands-on experience in building and maintaining quality control processes. A solid background in occupational health, safety, and environmental management is also essential, including risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory adherence. The role requires the ability to perform inspections, audits, and root-cause analysis, and to design effective corrective and preventive actions. Strong documentation, reporting, and data analysis capabilities are needed for tracking quality and HSE performance and supporting continuous improvement. Good communication and training abilities are important for working with cross-functional teams, encouraging a strong safety culture, and helping operational staff follow best practices. A background in Quality Management, Food Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, and professional certifications in Quality or HSE are considered an advantage. Experience in fresh food, FMCG, or logistics environments is also relevant.
